New Treasure

I went to see the stage ” The Winter’s Tale”.

( The white book is the brochure of the stage.)

The stage was about for 4 hours,
but it was too good to realize such long time had passed.

I had read the story before.
It wasn’t so difficult to understand but
I didn’t think it was very good.
( Actually Mr. Ninagawa said so, too.)

However when the stage finished,
I thought the story is very interesting.

As Mr. Ninagawa said, Shakespeare gave us a lot of space to imagine.
And then Mr. Ninagawa added his own world.
Everyone gave standing ovation!!

Mr. Karasawa said in the brochure,
“I want to try what I can’t do now,
rather than do what I can do”.
It is what many people think but very difficult to try.
But then he also said,
“It is important to know that I don’t have enough ability to do what he( the director) said. Otherwise I can’t get next step forward.”

The words are not so rare to mention.
Even so, since he achieved what he had said,
those words touched my heart.
( He said it was very very difficult to express his role, Leontes.
Leontes changes his emotion suddenly, which Mr. Karasawa ( So do I ) couldn’t understand.
But on the stage, he expressed it very naturally.)

When I was young, I didn’t understant  Shakespeare stories well.
but the older I get, the more intereting I find in his stories:)

Good night, sleep well.

Happy Valentine’s Day

How many chocolates did you get today?
How many chocolates did you give today?

I got 3 chocolates and gave 12 !!

In Japan, girls give chocolates to boys on Valentine’s day.
But these days it is getting common to give some to girs, we call that “Tomo-choco”.

This year, one of the chocolate’s company made  new TVCM,
which tells boys to give chocolates to girls as well.
They named that ” Gyaku-choco”.

I am sure all girls think it is a good idea.
Untill last year, only girls prepared presents for boys,
but boys should have done same things for girls!!

I do know it is the marketing to sell more products,
even so it is good for us, ha ha.

However what should we do on White Day??
Will we give presents each other again??

I didn’t get any “Gyaku-choco”.
I want to think it is because “Gyaku-choco” hasn’t been getting common among boys yet.
Right??

It is not because of me……. is it?

Don’t eat too many chocolates!!

Umeshu

I love Umeshu in drink the best!
(Umeshu is kind of wine with Japanese plum. It is made of Sake.)

When I lived in Kobe, I often went to the Izakaya ( Japanese dining bar) and had a kind of Umeshu
whose name was Nigori-Obai. I love that very much.

Since I came here, I haven’t had good Umeshu like that.

However this week, I found very tasty one in Kyoto.
I went there with one of my acting friends.
There were 50 kinds of Umeshu!!!
(There were too many kinds to choose, ha ha.)

I had three kinds, all of them were good, but the one I had first was very similar to Nigori-Obai.

Finally, I found good Umeshu!!,
amd which recalls my life in Kobe:)

They had good food, too.
I had a great evening:)

If you know good Umeshu, please let me know!

good night

Rainbow

I saw a BIG rainbow!!

Of course, it wasn’t my first time to see,
but it was really big, and was just in front of me!

and What made me so happy was that I saw its root!!

Have you ever seen its root??

When I was a child, I wondered how the rainbow was made, and where it came from.

It was so clear, and I was able to see all colours.
(Some people say there are 7 colours, others say there are only 6 .
I believe there were 7 colours.)

It is Setsubun(節分) today.
On the way back home, I bought a big Norimaki( a kind of Sushi),
and had 27 soy beans for good luck☆

Cheers!
