One fine day

When I work as a machimusume at Eigamura, some people ask my name.

They say my name is easy to remember,  
my name sounds like a stage name and so on.
( Kyoko Nakayama is my real name.)

They often promise me to remember my name and try to find it on TV.
I am happy to hear that.

But, last time I worked there,
One question made me much happier !!

One lady came to me and asked
“Are you Kyoko Nakayama??”
I was very surprised because it was first time to be asked like that.
Then she had a photo taken with me.

I asked her why she knew my name.

She had been to Eigamura before and had asked my name.

She actually remembered my name!!!
I was too happy to stop smiling all day long.

I have been snowed under with acting jobs and part time jobs…
Even so I enjoy my life, 
and today I felt I am moving up in the world little by little…he he:)

Today I got a ticket of “Musashi“.
It is also directed by Yukio Ninagawa.
( If you don’t know about him, pls check my previous page　New Treasure  My Treasures.)

Tatsuya Fujiwara, and Shun Oguri will play on that stage.
As you know they are so famous that it was difficult to get that ticket.

My seat is very far from the stage, but I am very excited!!
I can’t wait!!

These days there are many foreigners in Eigamura.
Yesterday I played on the stage there.

In a day we play the show four times.
There were foreigners who tried chambara on the stage all the time.
And I interpreted for them what to do.

One time, there was a boy with curly hair.
The MC asked him where he was from.
So I asked in English, but no one could understand where he was from….

The first I thought he told us the city’s name.
I should’ve asked which country he was from….I thought.

However he told us the name of the country he was from.

Belgium…?? Belgium….??

His English was very clearly to listen to,
but I didn’t know it was the name of the country in English…
(we pronounce it different way in Japanese.) 

We didn’t have enough time to spend for him …

That evening I found out it was Belgium!!

I am really sorry Tobby!!
I remember the English pronounciation!!

It was busy but enjoyable day last Sunday.
As I wrote before, we played the drama on the stage at the institute.
(Thank you for coming to see it.)

There was a little trouble during the play but
I do think it was the best ever.

I played Oba-chan (grand-ma) who was the latest robot.
It was really difficult to tell  it was a robot for other characters in the story.
She was an OLD woman but could do anything, ( she could even fly!!)

The Next day (Monday), I was on the stage at Eigamura.
My character is the girl who wants to catch the muderer who killed her dad.
She is young and tries to fight against Samurais.
( She is totally different from the character I played the day before.)

And today, I am sitting at the cafe with reading a novel.
It is the day off to be relaxed.

I need time to think of my new life 2009,
to step forward to be a greater actress:)
