When I started the chambara show, one senior actor told me that one sword action( one swing) is one line for the character
I did understood what he said at that time.
however more than that, I’m getting to feel in heart what he meant these days
There’re many ways to say the line”Thank you”. It is same as that.
As long as we follow the rule of chambara(otherwise we get injured), it depends on us how to play it and to act the character.
It is interesting and difficult…
Last night I joined the practise senior actores belonged to.
They were making many ways how to be killed.
They revealed their own parsonalities very clearly.
Next time you see a chambara show or watch a chambara drama, please see from this point of view.
You may find a new interest
Seeya!

I have written about the ranks of girls, Machimusume and Bukemusume.
You will see one more rank at Eigamura.
It is Hime, Japanese princess of the king of Samurai.
Today I introduce you another rank.
It is O-dana musume.

Can you see the difference??
(The left is me.)
The left pic is Machimusume, whose father is usually a shop keeper.
Their rank is not so high, of course it depends on the shop,
but Machimusume wearing that kind of Kimono is actually not so rich.
However the girl in the right pic is the daughter of the father who owns a big shop. Her rank is quite high in the citizen ranks.
We call the girl, O-dana mushume.
(O-dana means big shop. )
You see many accessories on her head.
I am sorry you can’t see her back, but she is wearing bigger obi (a sash) than the other girl.
If you see O-dana musume in Samurai drama,
her father usually has big power in the city,
or she is often kidnapped for the money….
Actually, when I played in the drama, Mitokomon(水戸黄門),
I played part in the O-dana musume.
( and I was almost kidnapped… )

Do you know anything about Japanese TV heros??
I heard it is getting popular in America and Europe .
There are many kinds of heros who fight against monsters or aliens.
At Eigamura, we put on the special shows of the hero who is popular in the year.
This summer we have Kamen-Rider Decade’s show.
( Kamen-Rider is the one of the most famous hero in Japan.
This TV show has lasted since my parents were children.)
We always have Eigamura’s special version.
This time, Kamen-Rider Decade fights against Japanese historical kings who are possessed by evil spirits.
It means you have a chance to see good sword fighting even it is the show for kids!!
My senior actors play the part of Japanese kings.
Even if you don’t understand Japanese, you will enjoy the show.
So please don’t miss it!!

We also have the campaign of the drink.
You can have a picture taken with the hero,
and get a bottle of the drink.
Please visit Eigamura HP to check the schedule of the campaign.
Have a wonderful vacation!
