Hello♪How are you doing??
I started wearing Bukemusume-kimono as well at Eigamura.
(I ususally wore only Machimusume’s one before.)
Bukemusume is a daughter of Samurai.
So her rank in this period was quite high!!
Actually girls in this rank could be princesse in the district,
if their fathers had won wars and had conquered the land.
Or if they had had arranged merriages to other districts’ kings of samurai.
Only girls in this rank were permited to wear short swords(Kaiken).
They put the swords in Obi(kind of Sash).
In addition that, you can find many differences between Machimusume and Bukemusume.
The hair style is very different.

( The left pic is Bukemurume, can you see orage one on the sash? It is Kaiken.
The right pic is Machimusume.)
The higher rank the girl is in, the higher hair style she has.
When we play the characters, we ususally wear the wigs for the characters.
If your character is in high rank ,
you wear a heavier wig and put more accessories.
And same as Obi ( the sash),
Bukemusume wear more sash than Machimusume.
so that the way to tie is also different.

There are many kimonos at the studio, many colours, many designs.
Now I can wear both Bukemusume’s ones and Machimusume’s ones.
I am happy to wear new kimonos♪
